Mrs. Flynn

Guidance Counselor

Every school year presents an exciting, yet challenging time for students, parents and teachers. The Guidance Office at West Street School is available to help students adjust and thrive during their two years at West Street and prepare them for the transition and success at Wells Junior High.

As the Guidance Counselor at West Street I am committed and dedicated to assisting students and parents in building foundations for academic excellence as well as providing positive relationships between school and home.

We will continue working with our SHINING STAR Character Education Program. This program is designed to increase positive social interactions among students. Through the Shining Star Guidance program, students learn character skills that are essential to healthy social interaction. These skills involve making positive choices; respecting others; being responsible; showing compassion; learning to be fair, honest, and cooperative; practicing good citizenship; and developing self-esteem. Each month the students are presented with a character building word to focus on. I encourage parents to contact me with any questions or concerns at (508) 764-5470.
